⌘ Opt Del doesn't do anything on my M2 MBA. ⌘ Shift Delete does the same as ⌘ Delete. The shift isn't needed.

Yep, for me that shortcut trigger is AAPL. Since I never disucss the stocks (nor am I a shareholder), using the company's stock ticker abbreviation is an easy way to remember it.
My problem is that I learn one of these, get excited for a game changer, then forget the combo next time I need it
More often than not I’m the same way!
You only need to remember that you can combine alt and shift with cursor arrows, delete, and backspace. Experiment in a text Editor and see what’s possible.
