Halley is the one who predicted its return mathematically. I'd say that's more significant than seeing it twice in one lifetime and supposing that it's the same comet.

They can’t even pronounce Halley’s Comet right. They’re not changing it.
We always called it Hailey’s comet but knew it was spelt differently.
Do you pronounce it Hal-Lee or something like that?
