This is sad. They did wrong, but I still walked past them often in Seattle and always saw people outside chatting and having a good time.

It's a little sad that we need to actually say this, but:
Don't be an asshole or you will be permanently banned.
Respectful debate is totally OK, criticizing a product is fine, but being verbally abusive will not be tolerated.
Focus on discussing the idea, not attacking the person.
They helped popularize ebikes by offering middling but inexpensive bikes early on, but otherwise the company was pretty poor quality, and they didnt treat their staff well. Selling to PE just sounded their death knell.
They served their purpose, but there are better brands out there now. Lectric covers their "cheap and heavy, but good" niche well, and now you can get high quality ebikes from all over.
