I really dislike employers who leave employees hanging. π€¬You've done your work. They should pay. It's not your problem how they do it. And it's a moral issue too, people have families and bills. You do not know if children will go hungry pr without medical care. It's just unacceptable.

I made pasta al limone, with fried salmon and a salad with lemon-yoghurt dressing. It was rather tasty. I've been trying to do more pasta sauces that are not tomato based, this definitely fits the bill.

Still haven't gotten my pay π It's in the damn cloud somewhere. Had to transfer money out of my kids bank accounts to cover direct debits. I feel deeply ashamed.
Thereβs no shame, itβs keeping the water and lights on that they also use and youβll pay it back.
Iβm wondering if Mr P is contributing to the household expenses. Because now would be a great time

All he knows is the money has gone from his account. There was an industry outage affecting merchant payments to external accounts earlier this week, so it's been caught up in that somehow.
That was an especially poor dishwasher cycle.

the beach today, I went right out over the sand flats to the water

I thought I was too late planting my snow peas and that they would die in the heat before managing to produce anything, but instead I have the first pods on the vine now! I also have the zucchini and squash on the verge of production and some cherry tomatoes at the flowering stage.

Yay, managed to swap my shitty late shifts for both today and tomorrow πreasonable working hours ftw
Iβm annoyed I got rid of a cooling elevated mesh pet bed that was too high for Melbcat to comfortably step up onto. This furry lil dude could have used it.

Trying to work out how to rig some shade cloth or shade sails that wonβt cause damage with weight/a gust of wind and donβt count as a βfixtureβ. As a bonus it would shade the window.
I considered one of those big freestanding umbrellas but they are quite expensive, bulky and too heavy for me to move or assemble.

New guy in the costumer service team at work. I think I remember seeing him being interviewed. I wonder if he'll last longer than the other woman that just left one morning. He's young so I think he'll take to it pretty well.
He's also really tall, like really tall. I wonder if I should tell him that? I wonder if anyone's pointed it out to him before?

Fire drill successfully run at work. I always haaaate doing it, but it took less than 2 minutes this time but another 2 minutes to write up the report. Helps that I had to give the heads up that it was happening this time.
trying to get Ted vaccinated attempt 2 π€
Vaccination done.
First there was a huge fight for him to take his sedative, he nipped me and chucked up.
At the vet the nurses tried to pat him, even after we said not to. he did not like it. But then they wrapped him up in a towel and gave him his shot near his bum. So success. π Right now he's still a bit wobbly and is resting.
So for Ted the past week has been good. He weighed in at 1.25 kg less than a year ago, he's had his fur trimmed and brushed so no more mats and knots and had his shots. π»π»π»
