Not sure if you intended the distinction, but this is Subnautica: Below Zero, not Subnautica (and not Subnautica 2). While Below Zero is a good game, I personally would recommend picking up regular Subnautica and playing through it still. Most agree it's a better game.

Thanks. I don’t do survival games; they feel like work.

This will be a great way for me to know if buying the first game is worth it to me personally.
