Looks like a community garden, though of course that is the opposite order of events.

No mention of rules for pesticide and manure?

If I lived next to a farm, then I'd be worried about excessive spraying of pesticides (cancer) and manure (the whiff).

As long as all the neighbors understand they're living next to a working farm that can be noisy and have smells this is wonderful. I'm just having flashbacks to when a developer bought up the alfafa fields next to my grampas land and would send noise complaints about a working farm.

What did you expect when you moved next to a farm Becky? It's 22 hectares, it's not like you can't see the GIANT FUCKING BARN with 8 pieces of HEAVY FUCKING MACHINERY parked all around it.

In melbs we have a law for people who move next to pre existing loud areas / live venues, etc. it primarily rules "your fault for buying there, so shut up, dickhead"

Does it work the other way around, too? As in, "You bought in a quiet area, so shut up, dickhead".

That's covered under standard peace laws. The caveats came about because developers were putting apartment blocks next to live music venues, then the occupants were cracking the shits at live music and filing for disturbing quiet enjoyment. A couple of places were badly impacted, then we collectively realised this was fucking stupid and now the onus is on the developer / newly arrived resident, not the pre-existing function

I think that's been a bit of an issue out my way with a couple of places that like to rake in cash by hosting weddings.
