Only thing I can think of to combat tanking is every non post season team gets the same odds or something along those lines.
The draft lottery is better than just straight reverse order but still has too many situations where it’s better to lose games than win due to better odds. They’ve tweaked it a bunch with some success but flattening the odds as much as they have still hasn’t solved the issue.
It might be too extreme but teams won’t give up making the post season revenue just to get mid odds. Everything else I’ve seen is just going to be a tweak and marginal improvement to the current situation.
