This was a clean-room implementation (Claude did not have internet access at any point during its development);

Also I highly doubt that its a "fraction" of what human labor would have cost and I also doubt that the slopfest codebase it produced that chokes a 50 times slower compilation is competitive with a small team of CS undergrads who learn the same thing in class.
