Yeah, there is, and always has been, demand for gambling, and unlike crypto ~~gambling~~ speculation money leaves the system at just about the same rate it enters so there is no inflation.

I think the At bubble is actually two AI bubbles:

One bubble is about putting AI into everything, weather it's useful or not - this one will pop soon

The other bubble is about reaching AGI and replacing nearly all workers with AI - this one will not pop before the massive data centers are built and used.

The Cassandra syndrome is gonna hit hard. All these vigorous ai proponents who.suddenly appeared on lemmy en masse are going to evaporate along with the career prospects for like billions of people.

Whether AI makes people unemployed of a recession does it, the billionaires still win
