I never much liked joints and blunts in a rotation, since at least 1 person is gonna have slobbered over the whole thing just sealing it up.
I especially don't like sharing a cart because most people suck too hard and clog the fucker.
If I am gonna share, it's gonna be through a bong. It doesnt go in your mouth, your mouth goes into it. And it can be wiped off anyway.

Why are you worried about someone faking?
No one should feel pressured to the point of taking a fake pull. If you don’t want to smoke, just pass...that’s normal. Taking a fake pull only wastes it. No need to pretend, just chill and enjoy the vibes.
I have a buddy with a Venty vaporizer. Thing has a slider for airflow so you can stop the big bad wolf from huffing the entire thing to a crisp.
