A place for for news, discussion, memes, and links criticizing capitalism and advancing viewpoints that challenge liberal capitalist ideology. That means any support for any liberal capitalist political party (like the Democrats) is strictly prohibited.

6 Be civil in comments and no accusations of being a bot, 'paid by Putin,' Tankie, etc. This includes instance shaming.

Blows my mind that flight crews don’t get pay or only half pay at the gates. They’re uniformed and very visibly working before the door closes.
They’re doing safety checks for a voyage of hundreds of people paying $200k+ combined, unpaid, even when in a CA airport. Bonkers.
If they get a good captain they can trigger what looks like a door closure in the system during boarding so everyone is getting paid.

He's obviously a Republican...just by his phrasing. People like this make me sick...expecting people who are already overworked to work for free...and unless you're a CEO, you ARE overworked and undercompensated. That's just the state of work in America. Late stage capitalism is a deadly poison dressed as a designer drug.

When your worldview is predicated on your ‘right’ to lie, cheat and steal from others in order to enrich yourself, socialism and communism are the greatest evils.
If you don't get paid, is refusing to work even a strike?
Yeah, unpaid interns can strike. When none of the grunt work gets done, people seem to notice
"no, but wait, dude, see, we weren't paying employees for this work before though, so, like, paying them for this work now is, like, really hurting us poor mega-corporations."

In other news, worker participation rate keeps dropping and company losses are increasing due to more people working in the informal economy.
If they weren’t paid they’d be slaves.
Considering their entire project since abolition has been trying to find ways to recreate slavery without directly calling it that... I think that's the point.

Oh I hope the company I work for has to deal with this. They'll find a way out of it I'm sure, but I really hope they do.
