Edit: Thanks y'all! Question answered. amazon dropship BS, not uncommon

This might be the first time I've ordered something off ebay. I boycott amazon. I'm pissed that I inadvertently bought something off scamazon. Is this a common or uncommon ebay thing? (collecting info before I leave my angry, 1-star review). TIA!

I won't say it's common, but some sellers do use Amazon to dropship stuff. It's annoying to me too, I hate when it happens and I'm always sure to leave it in my feedback for the seller for others to hopefully find.

I think it's pretty common, and it's super annoying. If I'm looking for something and see that it's the exact same item with a price higher than on Amazon, I suspect that it's a drop-ship and they're pocketing the difference. I've gone through the effort to return that stuff if I happen to order it inadvertently. I've considered straight out asking them if they're drop shipping before ordering, to be sure.

like everyone else said, leave neg feedback saying "amazon drop shipper" or whatever, and check feedback for same next time

Happened to me too. Super annoying. I use eBay in part not to support Amazon.

I returned it, and even the return was direct to Amazon. Then had to wait for the shady seller to actually give me the money.

I'm not sure it is against eBay's TOS, though, which is very unfortunate.

Most likely, the seller bought something off Amazon and then reused the box.

I reuse boxes all the time. If you buy something from me and it comes in a Chewy box, that doesn't mean I'm a Chewy reseller.

The seller also had amazon packaging tape. (The box was no reused)

Some dropship crap from Amazon, unfortunately.

Iโ€™ve had that happen when specifically avoiding amazon as well >:[

Same, dude. Same.

I had this when i bought something from walmart website, not even noticing it was a third party seller. I returned it
