Take this with a grain of salt. I would not put it past the NYT to run interference for the Zionist entity. "Israel" already have a severe image crisis with the younger generation in the US and a lot of the western media's role is to do damage control in that regard.
If they say it was the US, a) people are more likely to forgive the actions of their own government than those of a foreign government, and b) it can be blamed on the Trump administration and turned into a partisan thing.
This could be strategic narrative management the same way throwing Ukraine under the bus for the Nordstream bombing to divert blame away from the US worked in Europe, because Europeans are more primed to sympathize with and forgive Ukraine for attacking them than the US.
Just like maintaining the US's image in Europe matters more to the European ruling class, it is more important to the US ruling class to protect the image of the Zionist entity than that of the Trump administration.
In any case, the distinction is largely illusory anyway, because the Zionist entity is an extension of the US empire and serves to advance the imperialist agenda in the region, while at the same time much of the US policy in the region serves to advance the goals and agenda of Zionism. A US attack on Iran is a Zionist attack and vice versa.

Iran's Revolutionary Guards said the operation involves a combined missile and drone attack targeting sites in central Tel Aviv, according to state media.
The Guards said the assault included the launch of Kheibar missiles as part of the latest phase of the operation against Israel.

The target at the Ali Al Salem airbase were aircrafts, several.
As you can see from the explosions in the footage, they are going up in big flames.
No actual footage of aircraft but big if true.

Patriots are running low. Estimated that 1600 Patriot missiles have been used so far by US, Israel and Gulf states to repel Iranian strikes, with an annual production of 600 per year.
The Iran war has triggered a shortage of missiles for Patriot anti-aircraft missile systems, Handelsblatt quotes military sources as saying.
It said the Persian Gulf countries alone spent about 800 missiles in the early days of the conflict. The US and Israel spent "at least" the same number. Handelsblatt says that stocks of missiles for Patriot are a top secret, while the Americans emphasize they have enough ammunition. However, the paper says experts are increasingly doubtful about this.
On top of the Persian Gulf states, Ukraine also needs missiles for Patriots, but their production capacity is limited. Lockheed Martin has tripled their output over the past three years, but this is only 600 missiles per year. In January, it promised to increase the capacity to 2,000 rockets a year from 2026.
The production of missiles for Germany will only start at the end of the year with deliveries scheduled for the beginning of 2027.

US forces cowardly retreat According to an IRGC statement released Wednesday, “the operational planning and coordination among Iranian armed forces in targeting across different fronts has changed the war’s equation,” stressing that Iran’s military capabilities were beyond the estimates of the United States and "Israel."
The IRGC also asserted that “Iranian armed forces are closely monitoring the cowardly retreat of US soldiers from their bases and their taking refuge in hotels in host countries.”
It added that “the Iranian armed forces are observing the U.S. military’s use of civilian facilities in host countries,” warning that “the Revolutionary Guard is lying in wait for the invading U.S. soldiers and will not let them escape.”
I recall seeing comrades here say that the IRGC wasn't actively trying to cause US military personnel casualties and that the 6 who were KIA were likely the only ones to perish. I can't find any reason to believe that this is true. Especially after all that Iran has suffered this past week, the martyring of their Supreme Leader, military brass and civilian leadership and during Ramadan, the events in January that led to the killing of 3000+ civilians, the 12-Day War last year, economic sanctions, sabotage & infiltration ops by enemy intelligence, the Stuxnet cyber attack that set back their nuclear development program under Obama, and so on. Many of us westerners have been conditioned to "forget" about these sort of things by all of the flood of information via social media campaigns. This is something they could not possibly forget, because this is something that has affected them in a real, material way. They're truly out for justice against the imperialists.

The US base in Kuwait suffered immense damage from Iranian attacks, however we saw little to no videos from the actual attacks.
Had it not been for the satellite imagery, not even our souls would’ve known about the success rate of Iranian attacks.
Just because we haven’t seen videos from impacts on Israeli targets, doesn’t mean they don’t exist, keep that in mind.
