Describe the issue: When tapping in any edit field, Connect thinks I'm highlighting from the end of the text to where I've tapped.
It's very annoying!

Swiping over my space bar to move the cursor may also highlight text instead. I restarted the app and it no longer does.
It moves the cursor bit then the highlighting just happens ending at that point instead!

Could you clarify on the issue? I haven't been able to reproduce the issue, on 422, on either Heliboard or Gboard. What I've been doing is double tapping, or tapping and holding, a word and the highlighting seems to working fine. It seems to be at the point where I tap and start at the beginning of the world and end at the end.
Literally just tapping anywhere on any editable text is causing it here. Although actually it isn't doing it now. Weird.
Tap as in single tap right? Also do you have swipe typing on? Last question, this is with Gboard?
Single tap. I just had it again when replying to another message but it isn't doing it on this one.
Swipe typing is on.

I've also seen similar behavior: when trying to move the cursor by tapping, it instead selects from where the cursor is to where I tapped.
Though, like the other poster, it doesn't seem to be happening right now.
