I didn’t know there was a movie as well, but yes it is. The graphic novels are fantastic.
Darnit, I never finished reading this one. Need to return to it...
Btw, one of the reasons I love BD is because it frequently does a great job taking us to other parts of the world, often showing the situation from an insider perspective. For me, it's fascinating to see the things I'm totally unfamiliar with, but also the ways in which we're surprisingly alike with others.
I recommend watching the animated movie as well, its really good!
