According to the NTSB report the truck that was hit did not have a ADS-B installed. My question is why in the world is such system not mandatory for all vehicles present on such a busy airfield? Seems like an ADS-B transceiver would be a rounding error in the cost of the airport's day to day costs.

Fuck. I imagine it's as the NTSB says, many things, but all of them go back to stupid cost cuts.
Come to think of it, I haven't heard anything good about US airports recently.
