Democrats managed to flip a seat in the Florida state house in the district that is home to Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago.

Emily Gregory, a Democrat, defeated Republican Jon Maples, who had an endorsement from the US president, in the special election in Florida’s 87th state house district. The Associated Press called the race on Tuesday evening, with Gregory, a public health expert and small business owner, leading by more than 2 percentage points.

The Republican who previously held the seat had won by 19 percentage points in 2024.

This bodes well for the NSDAP.

I suspect a continuation of a blue wave and it makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside.

Trump has managed to do the impossible by pissing off his own base. Prices are up, no one has any idea why we're in Iran, and now he's attacking ag. I mean, that's one way to distract from the Epstein files, but it could have been done for far cheaper.

And the best part? He's done irreplaceable harm to the regions ability to bounce back (Qatar's facilities arent going to be back online any time soon) and has pushed us back on the renewable front at the same time, ensuring we stay in this hellhole of inflation for years.

Spinning back up anything he's destroyed is going to take decades. It's always easier to destroy than create.
