Tbf, I feel like a large percentage of BMW owners deserve all of this...

"Also, if we steal it to train an LLM, that's totally legal and we dont have to pay you"

I assume a screen reader that used OCR instead of just copying the text would work (for example, being able to read text in images)

Mon ami, remember it.

Because pcgamer has discovered they can rewrite social media posts into articles that drive ad revenue.

But.. but... I thought closed source was more secure!

Man. We really are the laughing stock of the world.

Kinda of surprised how long the article is - but if you need a TLDR:

Get a whistle. You can even 3d print them

Mind you, theyre killing it in favor of an LLM, which is arguably further biased (you know, the giant "predict the most likely next work" algorithm, which doesn't predict anything new).

To pay authors a fair compensation for consumption of their book, right?

Worked in a lab where this lady sat down to read some SOPs and within an hour said "I'm not feeling it" and quit in that moment.

The gaffe is the result of the failure by Microsoft, which oversees the signing of shims, to revoke the publicly available images once vulnerabilities were found in them.

This week, New Jersey became the tenth state to pass a bill allowing residents to purchase small plug-in solar installations, bypassing longstanding utility permitting laws. But the New Jersey bill went one step further, expanding plug-in solar access for renters by prohibiting landlords and homeowners’ associations from blocking them

Really awesome news - now perhaps someday my condo HOA will install some EV chargers...

“You have a lion, a bear, an alligator and... a squirrel. OK, which is the squirrel?” Trump recounted at the event.

The question involving a cat, a dog, and a raccoon were too challenging, I'm sure.

Any wireless headphones people would recommend?

I currently have a pair of Arctis 7Xs that I use the Xbox adapter with while dual booting windows - I'd like to find something that isn't so finicky and works with both OSes (mostly so I can boot into Windows less...) while also working over 2.4Ghz for low latency.

Bonus points if you can also connect a phone other Bluetooth

Ten years after the Supreme Court extended marriage rights to same-sex couples nationwide, the justices this fall will consider for the first time whether to take up a case that explicitly asks them to overturn that decision.

Kim Davis, the former Kentucky county clerk who was jailed for six days in 2015 after refusing to issue marriage licenses to a gay couple on religious grounds, is appealing a $100,000 jury verdict for emotional damages plus $260,000 for attorneys fees

The U.S. military is said to be preparing to activate National Guard troops in Washington, D.C., as part of President Trump’s crackdown on crime.

Sort of depressing that someone standing up and contradicting Trump is news...

Attorney General Pam Bondi informed President Trump in the spring that his name appeared in the Jeffrey Epstein files, according to three people with knowledge of the exchange.

The disclosure came as part of a broader briefing on the re-examination of the case by F.B.I. agents and prosecutors. It was made by Ms. Bondi during a meeting that also included the deputy attorney general, Todd Blanche, and covered a variety of topics. Ms. Bondi frequently meets with Mr. Trump to brief him on various matters, officials said.

The lower chamber was originally scheduled to be in session through Thursday, but votes were scrapped as Democrats and some Republicans push for a floor vote to force the release of the Epstein files. Lawmakers will now head home until Sept. 2, after votes on Wednesday afternoon.

Trump initially sought to negotiate a new nuclear deal with Iran — one to replace the Obama-era agreement that he abandoned, despite Iran's apparent compliance, in 2018.

I feel like this doesnt get enough attention.

Dude threw away a winning hand and is now at the table naked.
