Welcome to the discussion of US Politics!

Rules:

  1. Post only links to articles, Title must fairly describe link contents. If your title differs from the site’s, it should only be to add context or be more descriptive. Do not post entire articles in the body or in the comments.

Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.

Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban.
  3. No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Report them, block them, and live a happier life than they do. We see too many slapfights that boil down to "Mom! He's bugging me!" and "I'm not touching you!" Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
  4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
  5. No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning

We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules, to use critical thinking when reading, posting or commenting. Users that post off-topic spam, advocate violence, have multiple comments or posts removed, weaponize reports or violate the code of conduct will be banned.

All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

That's all the rules!

“President Donald Trump ran on promises to cut energy prices “in half” within his first year in office. But according to a report released Wednesday, he’s done the exact opposite, and it’s expected to get much worse as oil prices soar from his war with Iran.

“Electricity prices increased more than twice as fast as overall inflation in 2025, according to a fact sheet by the Groundwork Collaborative.”

Trump promised to ~~lower energy prices~~ [fill in the blank] for Americans. He did exactly the opposite.

He’s not done yet. Wait until the petro shortages hit us. It’s gonna make the covid shutdown look like a walk in the park.

Oh and the felon in chief has been attacking solar and wind projects at the same time.

He's working for us! He's doing Jesus' work here on Earth! Promises made, promises kept!

If you openly don't like ai here and any mods of ai communities find out they will ban you from whatever shit mountain they hold power on. Even if you have never interacted with a single post. You can still manually add their community to your block list. For some stupid reason being banned makes the block community button go away. It is bad design but it still could be worse. Imagine a feed full of bullshit communities that you have to see but can't participate in or make go away.

I didn't know this until some genius told me how to do it. I tried to block them all before getting banned but there is a lot of them out there. It takes no effort to make a community based on no effort posts. Apparently any effort is spent banning contrarians.

If they could make the block community button still appear for banned communities that would be great. At least there is a solution in the meantime.

He’s done exactly that for his corporate donors. I don’t think people have realized that when Trump talks he’s not talking to the general population, he’s talking to his corporate overlords.

Yeah he doesn't see average people as people, he sees them as something lower to be exploited by the wealthy and powerful. Just like his buddy (the formerly known as Prince) Andrew.

For them rape and abuse is about control and power, not sex necessarily.

I just recently saw that little Keebler Elf, the Squeaker of the House meekly repeat that bullshit line they were using in his first term and it was laughable back then.

He actually said "promises made, promises kept".

🤣

Really? Dimbulb donnie was promising to raise the price of everything and start a useless war in the middle east?

Indeed, “Squeaker of the House”, the mighty Mike Mousey Johnson!

The media ignores it. And his followers will still tell you, energy has never been this cheap.

so much cheapness you will gag on the cheapness!!!
