I really hate how they forced the flashlight change. It could have easily been a long press and would have avoided the headache.

That’s how it works on iOS. Tap to toggle, hold to open the menu where you adjust angle and strength.
Might just be a miss. I know there are other things on Android where a tap toggles and hold opens a context menu.
This is how it is for me. I have it setup as a square button instead of the longer rectangle.
For me with the flashlight if I press the icon left of text it toggles on/off but if I press the text part that's when it opens the menu
Yeah, that works fine. The same way Wifi and Bluetooth works.
Usually when a flashlight is needed there is some fat fingering going on. This screen offers nothing. It's a complete waste of space and is 80% of the flashlight button when you go to turn on the flashlight.
But the flashlight is on when this dialog is visible. So what's the problem exactly?
It's a whole separate screen that doesn't need to exist. It doesn't have a single feature that can't be accessed the old way. Those features being on and off.
You realized you can change the brightness of the flashlight with it?
You might not need it, but I for example find it very useful, e.g. when going into the kid's room.
Thank you for that. It makes it ever so slightly less annoying
I'm not really sure what you're talking about here. Maybe you have some update I don't, but in my browser when I long press and image, I have options to save, share, and a few other things. I even installed Brave to see if it functions differently, but I still have a Save Image option.
The flashlight toggle depends on the size and where you tap (as noted by others). If it's just the icon, tap to turn on, tap to turn off, hold to open strength dialog. If it's the icon with text, tap icon to turn on/off, tap text for Strength dialog.
This isn't about the browser. This is about the selection tool when you're on the select screen (square soft key) of the OS. The screen you can use to screenshot or select stuff regardless of which app is being used.
I'm still not sure what you mean either. Not once have I ever needed to use the 'Circle to Search' feature (what happens when the Home key is held on Pixels, which appears to be what you're using in your picture) to save a picture. If I want a screenshot, I just use Power+VolDown
Edit: I see what you mean now. The app switcher (Using gestures so swiping up from the home button) is what you're using. Yeah, copy button now. Just select Files from the list and it'll download it. Likely changed to prioritize sharing memes quickly instead of doanloading for personal use.
Ah, gotcha. I use gestures rather than the soft keys and have no idea how to even access what you're talking about then!
