Not just AI, either. Apps are always scrambling to add useless features to justify the use of their app over others.
I wish i could uBlock features and sections of apps themselves like i do on websites. You wouldn't believe jow far down you can streamline a website after blocking all irrelevant content.

My favorite so far is the DeepL website. I only use it occasionally but got annoyed at having to scroll down past their bullshit to get to the actual thing i wanted.
Solved that one real quick!

Used to be so simple and clean, but they've added more and more garbage to it over time, and I feel like the quality of their translations is also just somehow getting worse.

Yeah honestly if a program doesn't have a global off switch for everything AI then I immediately search for an alternative.
