Hey, at least you can REALLY tell who to avoid if they're not wearing a stupid red hat. More idiot flair is always welcomed.

[–] Malyca@lemmy.zip 3 points 10 hours ago* (last edited 10 hours ago)

They're so repulsive that they make themselves known instantly in a thousand different ways.

[–] Buffalox@lemmy.world 19 points 1 day ago

To me it has idiot written all over it, but even worse than idiot, because it's more like idiot psychopath.

[–] Buffalox@lemmy.world 25 points 1 day ago (1 children)

I can't believe it?! The people behind Trump mobile have an impeccable reputation, they are honest people that always put the need of other people first.

I am shocked that anyone could even imagine they wouldn't deliver exactly as promised. AFAIK their dad is even president of the United states of America. They couldn't possible do anything wrong, because it would reflect badly on their father, and even United states as a whole.

So please stop these insane completely baseless accusations, as if the whole family is corrupt.
In what country would a majority of people vote for a President from a family where this would be possible?

/s
I'm putting it there as a formality, not because i expect it's actually needed.

[–] ranzispa@mander.xyz 5 points 18 hours ago (1 children)

I realized adding the /s is very much needed at times. People on the internet do not get sarcasm.

[–] Buffalox@lemmy.world 2 points 16 hours ago (1 children)

As a rule of thumb, I think it should always be there, even when it should seem obvious.

[–] ranzispa@mander.xyz -2 points 15 hours ago (1 children)

In my opinion, it should never be there. We are communicating, and adding indicators as to what our meaning is is not very nice. It really takes away the power of sarcasm announcing that something is sarcastic.

Alas, I do not care if someone who does not understand sarcasm does not get what I mean.

The only reason I do use it is because people will then annoy me because they didn't understand shit and what to teach me what is right and what is wrong.

You don't know what you are talking about, research has clearly shown that sarcasm is often missed, even among people that know each other. Even between husband and wife. And note this research is on SPOKEN sarcasm, where you have hints in intonation. Written sarcasm is even worse.

Alas, I do not care if someone who does not understand sarcasm does not get what I mean.

If you don't care if people get it, why then post anything?

[–] ranzispa@mander.xyz -2 points 14 hours ago (1 children)

The whole point of sarcasm is that it is unclear and people may miss it. People who get it will appreciate it, some people may miss it.

[–] Buffalox@lemmy.world 4 points 14 hours ago (1 children)

No it's not, that's like saying the whole point of a joke is for people not to get it.

[–] ranzispa@mander.xyz -2 points 13 hours ago

I see you really get sarcasm.

Loaded with MAGA spyware

[–] Soulphite@reddthat.com 13 points 1 day ago

Anyone else find any correlation to the pedophile going to China and these dumb phones finally shipping out? Like he went to China on taxpayers dime to get the phones rolling out? Even though he claims this is his stupid offsprings business venture, which we all know is bullshit anyway.

[–] jaybone@lemmy.zip 6 points 21 hours ago

I thought they said they weren’t going to make these but they will keep the preorder money.

[–] A_norny_mousse@piefed.zip 10 points 1 day ago (2 children)

It's factual (except for it being actual gold), so where's the mocking?

[–] curbstickle@anarchist.nexus 14 points 23 hours ago (2 children)

HONOR Mocks Trump Mobile T1 as a 'Chinese Made Gold Phone' Device

The T1 was supposedly going to be made in the US. It also has a misprint of the flag, with 11 stripes instead of 13, and its basically the same as a model sold at Walmart for $128 (HTC U24 Pro).

There is plenty being mocked.

[–] ramble81@lemmy.zip 2 points 16 hours ago (1 children)

Is it a U24? I thought I heard it was a Revvl 7 Pro from 2024.

[–] curbstickle@anarchist.nexus 1 points 16 hours ago

Could be, I don't track phones as much anymore

I don't think it is a U24 so much as it looks like one but doesnt have the specs

[–] HiTekRedNek@lemmy.world 4 points 22 hours ago* (last edited 22 hours ago) (2 children)

Wait. HTC is back in the US finally?

I had soooo many HTCs back in the day and it broke my heart when they folded.

I still miss my M9.

Edit: Nope, no official US release, and it's 480 to 600 USD online. Damn you Lemmy, for getting my hopes up

[–] EncryptKeeper@lemmy.world 2 points 20 hours ago

The M9 was when phones absolutely peaked. It’s all been downhill since then.

[–] curbstickle@anarchist.nexus 2 points 22 hours ago

The U23, U24, and Desire at least.

From what I've seen the T1 is basically a U24 inspired Desire if that makes sense.

[–] jsnfwlr@lemmy.ml 2 points 23 hours ago

You can use the truth to mock people

[–] REDACTED@infosec.pub 1 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago) (1 children)

This is like Apple making fun of Google for being a US company. I mean, any form of roasting towards Trump is welcome, but it just sounds silly coming from Honor

[–] markz@suppo.fi 1 points 22 hours ago (1 children)

As far as I know, google isn't constantly rambling about being from us being bad

[–] REDACTED@infosec.pub 1 points 21 hours ago

Basketball, huh?
