That was a beautiful read, thugs in suits.

Amazing read, and I am indeed shocked that I have seen nothing about it in the news.

The west tries to hush up actual popular resistance while magnifying color revolutions. That's a good litmus test to see that yes, this is genuine popular resistance.

I've only heard whispers on lemmy and Reddit. This is the first journalism I've seen. I love Bolivia and I've always wanted to go. The salt flats alone are something everyone should see. Now I can't show my American face there :( those poor people.

I watched some videos of it on tiktok but they already fixed the algo to not show this

I wish people just had 1% of the radicalism that these guys have in the west, but as long as our treatlerite faces get stuffed with imperial bounty shit will never happen here :(

It's really frustrating to watch how people keep talking about how you just have to vote harder, when we can see a concrete example of how workers actually take power in Bolivia.

The mass delusion makes me feel like I'm in a zombie movie. Like I've explained it, countless times through history we've fought this battle. It always goes the same way. Yet they still think they can vote their way out of this.

Agreed. They don't want the treats to stop flowing; it's an addiction at this point. So many people around me aren't even willing to boycott, which I view as the barest minimum involvement at this point. Anything that threatens their comforts is summarily dismissed out of hand. For a lot of people, that level of consumption is not going to be sustainable as prices rise without a simultaneous increase in wages. We'll see what happens if gas prices hit $10 per gallon; I'm expecting the price to start skyrocketing as the supply chain catches up to the shortage.

You can't even get the biggest Lemmy instance users to question Zionazi moderator narratives and motivations.

The thing about denial is that it eventually comes crashing down. Cognitive dissonance takes a lot of energy to maintain, even if it's unconscious. The libs on the big instances are in a precarious place because they're not grounded in reality; even if they ignore what we've told them now, they won't be able to do so forever.

Well, they denied Nazis working in multiple governments in high levels the world over for almost a century. I hope you are right.

I choose to believe that we are not some special few, gifted with secret knowledge or special ability but instead the canaries in the coalmine, just the first of many who are perhaps most sensitive to the disinformation environment we are in. Eventually what we know to be true will become undeniable.

[–] Maeve@kbin.earth 3 points 1 week ago

I hope so. Palestinians are almost final solutioned. I hope it doesn't come to that for the other para/militarily bullied nation states.

[–] Pissed@lemmy.ml 5 points 1 week ago (1 children)

I've given up on the western left.

[–] yogthos@lemmy.ml 7 points 1 week ago

can't blame you

[–] Malyca@lemmy.zip 17 points 1 week ago

Jfc that was a hard read. Those people are an inspiration.

Workers seizing an airport to prevent the kidnapping. That's how it's done.

Reminded me of the time, right after the October Revolution, when the Russian bolshevik workers foiled a coup by Kornilov by taking control of all the rail and telegraph stations in Petrograd.

[–] narwhal@mander.xyz 10 points 1 week ago

For anyone who is in possession of a machine gun, that country feels they have the right to kidnap you.
