I like the livery. It has pretty good colour blocking like the Captain Britain for a dimension of living trains.

South Western Railway’s newest train, wrapped in union jack-inspired Great British Railways livery, may divide opinion on aesthetics

The GBR train livery, drawn up on the cheap by ministers and advisers in the Department for Transport, has attracted attention – some incredulous. It was described by one insider as “more GB News than GBR”, while the architecture and design critic Cath Slessor said the “effortfully deconstructed livery looks like an explosion in a union jack factory – and not in a good way”.

Really? What does it look like?

goes hunting around

Oh, come on. That's the over-the-top flag train that's giving offense?

hunts for some pictures over here

American flag shagging is considered beyond funny and well into boorish here. So yeah it may be tame by yank standards, but sticking Union flags (or St George flags) on stuff is considered a bit crass.

Didn't used to be, became considered tasteless due to the oiks that keep doing it.

USA flag shagging is a normal and regular occurrence though

Over here the only ones who do it are fascists, except when the world cup or other national sport events are on, or the birthday of a royal, then suddenly folks bring out their flags from the attic

Fascists and their Palestine flags

It's not as offensive as the train liveries you've posted. But over here anything painted in the Union Jack (Flag) is derided as offensive and ridiculed. Even kid's clothing. You have to take the commentary with a pinch of salt.
