Sincere but possibly stupid question: what keeps people from joining a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing access as a proxy? Businesses have accounts for all kinds of services for the use of their constituents.

exemption won't really matter in the end. for sites and services that 'rely' on these bullshit verifications--linux will be a non-conforming, non-participant. and you won't be able to access those things from linux... not unlike how rooted & 3rd party firmware phones are treated now by many financial and streaming apps.

And Linux will make its own sites with blackjack and hookers and fuck dealing with the rest of society it was a mistake just like leaving the trees.

Fuck yeah. There will literally be dozens of us. I'll be first in line for our trusty hooker.

That’s our secret: We’re all hookers

All the more reason to cut those sites and services out of my life. I don't really need most of them.

Experienced a taste of it when trying to buy a movie on Rakuten. Said it wouldn‘t allow to play the stream on Linux (when Amazon is totally okay with it). It‘d an issue for sure.
