Women can't be the problem obviously, if the genders were reversed it'd be perfectly fine.
A fair point, power dynamics exist from all sides of the relationship spectrum. To say they don't because women are an underclass in general society would be negligent.
Also this is my grandparents...... Trust me, He was not a faultless actor in that marriage by any means
Seems like a shallow reading. Knowing when not to speak is an important skill, and I'm sure the TV just talks and talks most of the time.
Plus, someone has to change her batteries. So you see, they both control each other, one gives his silence the other puts her life in his hands. Quite romantic, really.
