Yeah, that does work (for airborne attacks only lol).

But eh… this crew looks a bit on the younger side. Have they run out of adults?

From the caption under the photo in the article:

The russian army has been physically shrinking due to the war on Ukraine. Soon they'll all be riding tricycles into battle and fit 50 in a Yugo.

they all look like children, and not a one of them looks like they want to be there.

this has to be a picture of a visiting group of students from some sort of military boarding school or an rotc type program.

Best case is these are cadets.

Holy shit. I thought when you said that it would be like 16 year olds.

They look 12. Some look even younger.

Clearly nothing bad can come of this!

An admission of defeat whether they realize it or not... and deep down? I think they do, look at their faces.

They look awfully young, yeah... maybe it's the russian version of the Magic School Bus?

Do we tell them submarines can go underwater?

That's not true! They can go under!

Coming back up might be iffy.

Couldn't one drone blow a hole in the netting followed by a second drone to hit the sub? You know, kinda like how Israel bombs first responders with a second missile?

[–] lurch@sh.itjust.works 2 points 9 hours ago

yes and they will only work against small aerial drones. and they probably only have them in the dock, because the moment the first big wave hits the nets are gone and may even foul the propeller
