Is type 1 hypervisor also a kind of server ?

A type 1 hypervisor is software you install on a bare metal server so the server can become an ATV of servers.

Sounds pretty interesting.

A USB crapgadget built around a raspberry pi; It can record audio, stream video, mine bitcoin, it has a local LLM running, it takes voice commands, and it enumerated as a flash drive if you connect it to a host.

And it's pretty awful at all those things.

This is like one of those giant laptop servers for very remote locations.

Why giant ? Laptops aren't giant.

This is what I was thinking about.

Well, it's a giant laptop server. Basically, you have a team in a remote location, they need some file services or something and the internet isn't going to be good enough. You send a server monkey with one of these to set up a network and some basic services like file sharing, when the project is done you pack it up and bring it back to home base.

Is this real ?
