Gotta remember, most important thing is that the officer is safe, so if he has to shoot animals, strangers, women and children, it's a price the police department is willing to pay... :p

Oh, and anyone black of course.

Cops are poorly trained and don't think too good, so the ends always justify the means.

I also read long ago that street cops are disqualified at cop school if they are too intelligent, since they get bored if they are.

Could be a myth.

Can we like, stop using the pig as poster animal for police.

This is a serious insult to pigs

If you haven't seen them yet: Check out the "Lego Scandal" videos by Reckless Ben.

While some of his methods are certainly questionable, and he does misrepresent certain things to boost the production value, what he experiences seems to me to be indicative of the state of the entire U.S. system.

While all of this happens on a relatively small scale, his observations appear to me to be the rule rather than the exception in this country.

I was just about to make a reckless Ben reference lol

His experience in this case is exactly as I have experienced the US "justice" system. Thank fuck I don't live there anymore.

The redacted videos that were accidentally leaked are wild about how the police were colluding against him.

[–] mergingapples@lemmy.world 3 points 1 day ago (1 children)

You got a link to those? I haven't been able to find them

[–] lobut@lemmy.ca 1 points 1 day ago

Not fully. I only watched the snippets that LegalEagle showed of the before and after ... I think he tried publishing them but I think they were taken down?

Also part 3 of these videos have been blocked too. It's sorta wild.
