It's insane that just 20g of carbs were having such an effect. In what form were you eating these carbs?
Broccoli, beer (it was wasting the entire 20g on a couple of beers that lit the way to zero carb), salad veg, nuts. The usual things keto people fill their 20g with
It's amazing the things zero carb fixed. Gout was the least of it

That is like saying your surprised a alcoholic with fatty liver disease can't take a shot of whiskey at breakfast without ill effects.
poison is poison - if you are in a sick position you can't tolerance much poison at all. Once you are sick, it doesn't take much to keep you sick.

That's a great example. When we are healthy we take everything for granted. But when we get sick even getting out of bed feels impossibly hard.
One of the things this diet has done for me is I hardly know when I have a cold, last thing I caught the only symptom I noticed was a light fever
Yeah. I think it's a consequence of being in good health / low inflammation.
I catch colds and flu sometimes mostly from others in our public pool. I get a runny nose at night and some sore throat for 1-2 days. That's it. It goes away on its own.
I am shocked at how bad they affect my neighbors. They get bedridden for a week minimum—body ache, fever, cold, and cough etc even on medications.
One of them died of covid while I remained asymptomatic. This was before the vaccine. (Could have been a stroke of luck. I shouldn't feel proud of it)
Thats a good point!
We are just leaving a bread crumb trail
