Are Americans finally going to learn that politics isn't just a thing that happens every four years?
politics
Welcome to the discussion of US Politics!
Rules:
- Post only links to articles, Title must fairly describe link contents. If your title differs from the site’s, it should only be to add context or be more descriptive. Do not post entire articles in the body or in the comments.
Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.
Example:

- Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
- Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban.
- No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Report them, block them, and live a happier life than they do. We see too many slapfights that boil down to "Mom! He's bugging me!" and "I'm not touching you!" Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
- Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
- No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning
We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules, to use critical thinking when reading, posting or commenting. Users that post off-topic spam, advocate violence, have multiple comments or posts removed, weaponize reports or violate the code of conduct will be banned.
All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.
That's all the rules!

The moment we become comfortable again will be the same when a third of us drop out of politics. Apathy is a hell of a drug.
I only hope they make voting mandatory like they do in Australia and it becomes too inconvenient not to do it. That should also come with the introduction of ranked choice voting but that's probably asking for the impossible already.
Yup. Our elections are setup to be special events, but people need to realize that politics is a marathon. You have to participate constantly and always be diligent
This is good news. I hope it isn't too late for change on a national scale.
It's good news, and anythings possible, but all 3 branches of government are controlled by fascist criminals and psychopaths. The Epstein class is deeply intertwined with the state and surveillance apparatus, and they openly support genocide, pedophilia, war crimes, and crimes against humanity. There is no bottom to how depraved they will go. Plus roughly 30% — tens of millions — of American adults are terminally mentally ill; as in, most are permanently damaged and will never be rehabilitated or recover from the brainwashing.
Hope for the best, but prepare for the worst. They are already sending antifascists to the gulags for life, for opposing their pedofuhrer.
I'd wager a majority of the 30% could recover, but it would take a massive and sustained effort. Even then there is a percentage that would never change, and America does not have the will to go through the effort.
Unfortunately it is, we won't get out of this with only votes. But it's a good sign.
Let's do Germany next. We were still in the fuck around phase.
Voting for the lesser evil makes sure that the evil stays for long.
US has voted for the greater evil to realise lesser evil is a false choice.
Which is not surprising. not in the least bit.
I mean, the only thing that overshadows centrist dem's failings are GOP failings. (though... GOP failings might actually be "success"... just not in a way that's good for the country.)
No, progressive Democrats do well in blue areas but not in purple or red areas. That's the reason centrist Democrats fear they will take over the party and that's the reason Republicans want progressives to win.
Wrong.
Trump was fighting for Bernie Sanders to be his opponent every election because he wanted Bernie to win.
DSA, all the way.
Once we get power, we walk AND chew gum. Revoke and revert every decision made by the illegitimate Trump regime. All of his donors and nominees/appointees will be imprisoned until they pay back the government the money they made over the pay decade AND the money they've cost the government, all while making for profit healthcare illegal, raising the minimum wage, and taxing the rich.
About 50,000 people are going to be executed, including at least 4 SCROTUS members. The good news is that if you don't have half a billion dollars, and you're not a high level MAGAt, you have nothing to worry about. In fact you'll benefit greatly

Shut up, you stupid genocidal LARPer.
