I played Arc Raiders again for the first time for a couple of months and I was kicked out because I used "Prohibited software" with the error code ARAV1011. Earlier I have never had any issues.

It turned out that it is a problem with Denuvo anti-cheat. The solution is to change to Proton Experimental.

The solution is to boycott software with denuvo... if they keep making money they will keep breaking games.

In this case they added Denuvo after the game was launched.

While I kind of follow this mindset myself, I don’t think it is the right one mention when someone talks about issues playing their favourite game. It’s not a good way to help linux gaming become mainstream. And it’s not an actual solution to whatever they are asking.

To me a better way of explaining it would be by sayingbe to something along the lines of; “sadly because the game uses denuvo anti cheat it doesn’t work on Linux, but maybe one day they’ll make it work if there is enough pressure so make sure to reach out to ask for it!”

To clarify, this is not Denuvo DRM, it`s Denuvo anti-cheat, which is at least not kernel-level.

I have only ever played Arc on Linux since launch. Never had an issue. I last played it less than two weeks ago.

Yeah same, but I've always left the proton version on Experimental Bleeding edge
