Maybe I should have said it more properly. How does my "style" of just typing come through? Does it come thru like a written word? I am just looking for a way so I can identify my style and make critques to it instead of the funneled version.

You post like an engagement farming bot on a site where that matters.

Isn't an engagement bot a good thing as long as it's not pushing an agenda?

I just took a quick look through your post history, and you do have a tendency towards making your questions into multiple parts, or adding a lot of qualifiers. Like in this post for example, the title is not just one question, it's three questions, plus a little qualifying sentence. I don't think it's a bad thing, I think it shows that you want to ensure that you get your point across without being misunderstood, but you definitely have a habit of doing this in your post titles. Do you have ADHD or autism by any chance? Because it reminds me of some of my thought patterns.

I take welbutrin in the morning so my mind after taking it is like 90 miles an hour. Currently I am thinking about Russia, Ukraine, the Chinese and Asian race to who gets the better AI. But I also talk very fast. I guess it probably stems from being told all through school to show your work or this wasn't a one sentence answer. Then I college I was doing term papers for everyone and it stuck. But no i don't have ADHD or Autism (don't know if that was a dig or insult) though. I suffer from SSAD, Schizo Affective Disorder...oh depression and an appetite for pain. Jesus I think I just self diagnosed myself. Oh yeah I can type 150 words a minute so my hands almost keep up with my mind. Also I am mostly on this cause sister has pre onset Alzheimer's and trying to deal with that. She is the one who started this account. Ok now rambling I will STFU.

No it wasn't intended to be insulting in any way, all of my favorite people are either ADHD or on the spectrum.

If I don't come back and reply before I forget and no sarcasm in this. Much Love and Have a Happy 250/4th.

I'm Canadian so our day was yesterday but thank you, I would wish you a happy 4th but honestly I think just saying good luck better sums up my sentiments towards your country. I genuinely wish you all the best though.

One pattern I’ve noticed with some of your posts is that you’ll ask a series of questions that all follow from the same flawed premise. Like, you see there’s an issue somewhere, but instead of backing up and re-thinking your assumptions you’re trying to patch up the resulting non-sequiturs.

Thanks for the reply..no sarcasm. Can you go thru like my post history and tear it a part. Not really understanding a flawed premise. I am not getting defensive just generally curious. My college English teachers always said I have my own "signature" never knew what that meant.

what, through?

[–] Kolanaki@pawb.social 6 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago) (1 children)

Because you very much ask questions that a young boy between the ages of 10 and 13 would ask, and it shows to anyone who pays attention to user names. I myself have had you tagged with "12 year old" for quite some time.

[–] Patnou@lemmy.world 1 points 2 days ago (2 children)

I thought you couldn't tag anyone or get flairs here?

It's a client feature of Connect (and others). Lemmy itself doesn't provide it, but most client apps have added it. They even added the ability to follow users recently in Connect.

Piefed allows users to add notes for about users.

Everyone has a style. I used to work at a small company where we’d give “anonymous” peer feedback. The boss liked to have a meeting and read it to us in private so we knew how we were seen.

Every time he finished I’d say “aw, thanks Sally!” or “that was nice of Greg.” Nailed it every time and my boss HATED it.

Your writing style isn’t something to “fix”. It’s your signature.

The only thing I would see as something to work on is if people generally think you use too few words, or too many. Communication is all about efficiently giving people context. If you can do that without people getting confused or impatient, you’re golden. Keep being you.
