I just learned today about Lochner v. New York:

Where apparently laws limiting working hours to 10 hours a day and 60 hours a week were declared an unconstitutional violation of the workers' rights.
Discussion of climate, how it is changing, activism around that, the politics, and the energy systems change we need in order to stabilize things.
As a starting point, the burning of fossil fuels, and to a lesser extent deforestation and release of methane are responsible for the warming in recent decades:

How much each change to the atmosphere has warmed the world:

Recommended actions to cut greenhouse gas emissions in the near future:

Anti-science, inactivism, and unsupported conspiracy theories are not ok here.

"right to", "patriot", "liberty", "freedom", some how conservatives have warped or destroyed all these words
I think I'm gonna start a bingo card for all the usual conservative buzzwords.
Maybe give one to my parents and tell them the more words they find in their news, especially if my mother (educated, and qualified to teach grade school) thinks the usage and/or grammar are odd, they should assume whoever is writing it is trying to trick them into blindly following like good little sheep.
I've noticed a huge uptick in that type of phrasing ever since the tea party bullshit, but it probably started long before that, I know they have people specifically working on this type of thing and unfortunately they seem to be very good at it
Please do, we should make a community dedicated to making and sharing Conservative Bingo Cards.
I have a RIGHT to pay HUNDREDS to THOUSANDS of Dollars a Month on Energy INSTEAD of ZERO!
-Fiscally Responsible Republicans!
A "Right to Natural Gas", like for free?
If demand for gas was so great, they wouldn't have to make up these schemes. This is an attempt to favour more polluting businesses over less polluting businesses.
Well if it's a right you shouldn't have to pay for it then right?
