I saw Teppi Tree but tbh I blew off all my money buying the printer and the filament and so that's not an option. So far I found cool uploads of connect 4, battleship, ultimate tic tac toe, and a couple games I haven't heard of. Feel free to let me know your thoughts below.

I really want to make that

That’s really neat. Adding that to the ever-growing list

This looks fun to make! Is it fun to play? Have you tried it?

It's really fun to play. There are tiles with covers, so the opponent can't see what it does, tiles with effects like teleport, mechanical tiles with flippers that make the ball into different directions. All that makes the game a lot more strategic that it looked at first. There are also quite a few tiles made by the community available on thangs already that are pretty fun.

I only have experienced with 2 players so far. No idea how it plays with more

Cool product, and great video, but can't bro take off his Google glass for half an hour for a video? Or is he expecting a call?

[-] denhil@feddit.de 6 points 1 year ago

Hes it's actually using it as a teleprompter and reading all his script from it

[-] ch00f@lemmy.world 1 points 1 year ago

Oh, huh. It's super distracting.

Looks like it requires more than 3D printed parts. But it seems really interesting and it's not like it needs arduinos or anything so it could be a fun project.

Except for glue for the board and some 10mm steel balls (readily available from e.g. Amazon) you don't need anything. There are (optional) fancy versions for the legs that require some M3 or M4 screws and some (also optional but fun) tiles that need short m3 screws and washers

Just about to finish printing this, it looks really fun.

I was thinking about that but I'm not that great at painting. Though, I might give it a try someday though, after I'm bored with all these other games.

I personally hate it for how screamy everyone gets when they play it but there's an stl for a portable secret hitler game.

[-] pineapplelover@lemm.ee 1 points 1 year ago

Love politics, I'll play it with my family and I can already hear them saying stuff about communism.

Found the stl https://www.printables.com/model/31657-secret-hitler-board-game-enhanced3

There are many versions of chess sets and settlers boards.

I've been meaning to print a set of Hive

[-] pineapplelover@lemm.ee 2 points 1 year ago

The bugs kind of creep me out but I'll give it a try if the game is that fun

The game itself is one of my and my wife's favorites. We take the pocket edition on every trip we take.

If the theme isn't ideal, since you're 3d printing it, you could just design your own (something like tinkercad would be easy enough for this). It's just hexes with an icon on top, so that icon could be anything you wanted!

Thanks for all the help guys, amazing suggestions in the comments here. I was really worried I was gonna get downvoted to shit. With my past Reddit experience in mind, I would've fully expected to be told to get myself some money and go buy myself games.

Back to the topic at hand: I have also done more research myself found a bunch of cool games on printables. Thank goodness for those amazing engineers. One day I will donate to everyone that I've used designs from.

Otrio. It's like a more complex version of tic tac toe. I believe the setup is available on thingiverse.

[-] pineapplelover@lemm.ee 2 points 1 year ago

In addition to Otrio, I've also found a game called Tic Tac Cap, so I'll have a bunch of fun tic tac toe variations to play with now!

Definitely gonna check it out. Thanks!
