Yes, I've had that experience too. I've found it most effective to click "don't recommend this channel" instead of "not interested" when one of those suggestions come up.

The algorithm has more or less unwittingly figured out who the state funded glowies pushing this type of content are. If you block a glowie channel from your recommendations, it cascades into fewer glowies being recommended which means fewer psyop vids in your feed

Comrade I. N. Vidious has the solution to this and many other YouTube-related problems

How the Philippines makes the Taiwan invasion so difficult

As a Filipino I can say that this phrase is only said by utterly delirious people

These the same people claiming china's economy will fail imminently for the last decade?

[-] chocoraisinboi@lemmygrad.ml 7 points 1 year ago

they built fake cities with no people because they have no money!

I legit heard this word for word once lmao

[-] bandarawan@lemmygrad.ml 6 points 1 year ago

Neoliberale propaganda made people completely oblivious of the money system.

I also "like" hearing how stupid China is in letting the rail company make a deficit each year (as if cheap trains are somehow a bad thing).

Oh, a lot of it. In channel reccommends that have nothing to do with politics, at that.

Why are they so obsessed with the Taiwan province?

[-] DamarcusArt@lemmygrad.ml 28 points 1 year ago

Because it is where the US will launch a false flag attack to justify invasion of the mainland, they need to remind their peons that it actually exists before they do so.

Yeah a bunch, mainly about the Chinese economy and a few ru-ukr war analysis videos. I wonder how much of it intentional and how much is the algorithm thinking that left and right content is equivalent.

Youtube being youtube. Their algorithm is simply, bad.

I always report such recommendations for hateful content.
