Safari because all other "browsers" are basically wrappers for Safari and yes even Google Chrome.

Firefox. I love how it integrates with Firefox on the other half dozen devices and computers I use daily.

Safari.

I love the tab bar to the moon and back. Every other browser is just Safari with an asterisk, since Apple makes everybody use WebKit.

I don’t use Chrome on any of my devices, so I’m not worried about missing out on sync. The fewer Google products I use, the better.

Mostly safari. But when i need to move a website from my iPhone to Windows i will open it on firefox.

[–] NightOwl@lemmy.one 1 points 2 years ago

I use Safari but if Firefox was like how it is on Android with addons then I'd be using that instead.

[–] JasSmith@kbin.social 1 points 2 years ago

Chrome. I would love to use Firefox but it doesn’t have translate.

[–] Thief@lemmy.myserv.one 1 points 2 years ago

Used to use firefox until it somehow became shit and was forced to change to safari. Super annoying. Used to be a great app.

WebKit because its the only browser allowed on iOS/iPadOS.

lol is someone just downvoting anyone who doesn’t use brave? i don’t use brave, come downvote me

[–] Nerdlinger@lemmy.world 0 points 2 years ago

Safari, because it never gave me a reason to look for alternatives.

[–] Matt@lemmy.one 0 points 2 years ago

Firefox for syncing with my other devices, but all the iOS web browsers are different skins over WebKit. I do like that Safari has support for extensions and wish Apple would allow other browsers to utilize them as well.

Edge lately. Don’t sleep on edge.

[–] Blakerboy777@kbin.social 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

I'll second this. I really like it. Apple just added the privacy feature of FaceID locking incognito tabs that Edge has had for a long time.

[–] thanksbrother@kbin.social 1 points 2 years ago

@Blakerboy777
SOMEBODY hates Edge so much that this is the only downvoted comment in the thread. Crazy the amount of hate Microsoft gets, I also use Outlook just because it’s a better email experience than iPhone’s built in app.

Chrome. Used to be Safari for continuity across my Macbook but then a bunch of extensions I used got killed and I never went back. Chrome has all my account info saved across all my devices so it's easiest to just use that.

[–] desqrypt@kbin.social 0 points 2 years ago (2 children)

Safari, only because of the extensions. I like being able to use custom ad block filters and userscripts.

[–] feyo@kbin.social 0 points 2 years ago

Yeah. Extensions are a must have and the reason I use Safari on iOS, even though I use Firefox everywhere else.

Safari, but waiting on Vivaldi to get out of beta/testflight.
I use the Vivaldi browser everywhere and would be nice to have it on iOS to.

[–] Zak8022@kbin.social 0 points 2 years ago

I’m eager to see what Vivaldi’s iOS browser ends up being. I’ve flipped back and forth on desktop between Firefox and Vivaldi a lot. I always end up back on Firefox just for “screw chromium” resins, but Vivaldi gets used for Google Hangouts for “silly work” reasons. A good mobile app could push me back to Vivaldi on the desktop.

[–] bit@kbin.social 0 points 2 years ago

Always end back on safari. Solid privacy defaults while still working perfectly for most websites.
Other browsers, like Orion, keeps stopping important websites from working

[–] Hazbuzan@kbin.social 0 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Chrome, safaris ui sucks so much I cant stand it. I also feel like its considerably slower.

[–] ribboo@kbin.social 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Chrome is literally using the same tech. All browsers on iOS are basically just Safari with a different UI.

[–] the_robomafia@kbin.social 0 points 2 years ago

Safari for the privacy/ adblocking

[–] Jdp459@kbin.social 0 points 2 years ago

Chrome, just because I use it on the desktop and like how it syncs like safari does. I still keep safari on my mac and my iphone but most of my usage is chrome now, I would switch back to Safari or even Firefox, but the extensions I use are only in chrome for my day to day work.

[–] mattrussell2319@kbin.social 0 points 2 years ago

Brave. Privacy good and it uses its own search engine. Used to be handy because it showed Reddit in search results but, well, stuff happened!

[–] Wooster@startrek.website 0 points 2 years ago

A moment of silence for Camino and OmniWeb… excellent Mac browsers that couldn’t join us in the modern era.

[–] Harlan_Cloverseed@kbin.social 0 points 2 years ago

This seems like it should be a poll. Safari.

[–] linko@kbin.social 0 points 2 years ago (2 children)
[–] JimmyAllnighter@kbin.social 0 points 2 years ago

Yep, Firefox for me as well on all devices.

[–] avapa@lemmy.world 0 points 2 years ago (1 children)

How do you deal with ads? I'm running Adguard on my device but from experience it only seems to work in Safari :/

Firefox Focus if it's just a one-off thing. Firefox if I want to keep track of it. I use Firefox everywhere though.

[–] Forosnai@kbin.social 0 points 2 years ago

Firefox. Even though it doesn't have all the nice privacy and, particularly, ad-blocking capabilities as on other platforms, I use it for those reasons on my Android and Windows devices, so I like having it all synced.

[–] Jezebelley@kbin.social 0 points 2 years ago (1 children)

I use Safari. Feels the fastest. 1blocker has been just as good as ublock for me and Userscripts is a great replacement for Tampermonkey.

[–] namesare4squares@kbin.social 0 points 2 years ago (1 children)

I use Userscripts across iOS Safari and MacOS Safari via an iCloud folder accessible to each. Has made life much easier for me on mobile.

[–] Jezebelley@kbin.social 1 points 2 years ago

Same! It's a great way to make your own little cloud scripting service.

[–] coralof@lemmy.world 0 points 2 years ago

Brave, because of the built-in adblocking.

[–] Balssh@kbin.social 0 points 2 years ago

I’ll definitely be in the tiniest minority, but I use Edge on both my laptop and iPhone. Despite the general hate towards Microsoft I see online, their browser is really well made and so behaved better than Firefox or Chrome in the past ~3 years.
