I have now upgraded the Divisions by zero to Lemmy 0.19.0. I haven't seen any issues, but of course you will have to re-login.

Please check the new features here

I have also updated Pythörhead to be able to handle the new authentication (as well as the old), so if you're running a bot, make sure to update your Pythörhead dependencies.

Now is also a good time that you can support the running of this server. If you just want to support this instance, please use Ko-fi and you can get a custom emoji here. If you want to support my general development efforts as well (Lemmy, Pythorhead, Fediseer, Tagginator etc) feel free to use my liberapay

I seem to have trouble signing in on Jerboa, but no issues on web.
Probably need to wait for update on the client again

Update: Voyager seems to work fine

[-] moosetwin@lemmy.dbzer0.com 7 points 10 months ago

also having this issue, except it's the app crashing rather than giving an error message

[-] JenIsBringingTheDrugs@lemmy.dbzer0.com 3 points 10 months ago* (last edited 10 months ago)

Same issue, saying "Failed to verify JWT token"

Edit: Latest Jerboa update seems to have resolved this for me

[-] el_eh_chase@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 points 10 months ago

I'm having the exact same problem.

[-] dragnet@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 points 10 months ago

Yeah, Jerboa has been a buggy mess the entire time I've used it and this finally got me to try Voyager. 10,000x better experience. I know developing an app is not easy and I hope Jerboa can get through its growing pains, but Voyager is great right now.

[-] hemko@lemmy.dbzer0.com 2 points 10 months ago

It's a shame, I like the look and feel of Jerboa. Voyager gui looks like tailored for idevices and feels out of the place

[-] LinkOpensChest_wav@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 points 10 months ago

I'm having the same problem. I cleared my cache and tried signing out and signing in again, but it's giving me that same exact message. Hopefully it will work again soon.

I don't think it's the client because lemmy.one also upgraded to 0.19.0 recently, and I didn't have a problem there. I think there are just some bugs with 0.19.0 that need to be worked out in general, because I'm occasionally having some odd behavior, even on Windows and Linux using Firefox.

[-] Koto@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 points 10 months ago

I had issues with Jerboa too, what helped me was signing out and in again. Hope you can log in with Jerboa soon!

[-] ArkyonVeil@lemmy.dbzer0.com 15 points 10 months ago

Cheers for the punctual maintenance. Just logged in, but no issues so far.

[-] db0@lemmy.dbzer0.com 11 points 10 months ago

There may possibly be some issue with outgoing federation as noticed by this commenter: https://lemmy.ml/comment/6690834

In fact, it seems comments from lemmy.ml haven't been federating since 4 days ago. Just check some active lemmy.ml accounts.
e.g.:
https://lemmy.ml/u/dessalines?page=1&sort=New&view=Comments
https://lemmy.dbzer0.com/u/dessalines@lemmy.ml?page=1&sort=New&view=Comments

I am not entirely sure if it's something to do with 0.19, but my home instance, lemmy.sdf.org is also having issues with outgoing federation since upgrading to 0.19.x, although it's currently still just on 0.19.0-rc.13. That's also why I am writing this from this account instead.

[-] CorrodedCranium@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 points 10 months ago

Is there a reason some instances wouldn't be federating correctly and others would?

[-] testaccount789@sh.itjust.works 2 points 10 months ago

I don't know. But there's already an issue about it: https://github.com/LemmyNet/lemmy/issues/4288

Also, the federation used to work on SDF after each upgrade for like 3 days, so it may or may not break later.

Scaled sort is so nice. Thanks for updating.

Tesseract is now discontinued, I guess I will use Photon from now on 🙃

[-] Tywele@lemmy.dbzer0.com 4 points 10 months ago

What do you mean? That Tesseract is discontinued? It says so right on their github page: https://github.com/asimons04/Tesseract

[-] db0@lemmy.dbzer0.com 4 points 10 months ago

Oh damn I didn't realize

[-] neurospice@lemmy.dbzer0.com 4 points 10 months ago

Thanks for the continued updates and hosting!

Also, why are some comments dehydrated piss colored???

[-] db0@lemmy.dbzer0.com 3 points 10 months ago

Something with the themes. The default RandomLegend theme doesn't have that problem. Alternatively you can use one of our other frontends (check the sidebar)

[-] Martineski@lemmy.dbzer0.com 4 points 10 months ago

It's finally time to switch to a different app than liftoff because it stopped working and support for it is really dry. o7

[-] Martineski@lemmy.dbzer0.com 4 points 10 months ago

Holy shit! Is it supposed to like this?:

[-] andrew0@lemmy.dbzer0.com 5 points 10 months ago

He's the chosen one, of course it's supposed to look like that!

[-] Martineski@lemmy.dbzer0.com 6 points 10 months ago
[-] db0@lemmy.dbzer0.com 3 points 10 months ago

It doesn't look like this to me, but I'm using the div0 theme (RandomLegend_dbzer0)

[-] Martineski@lemmy.dbzer0.com 6 points 10 months ago

I checked every theme and it seems only the db0 theme doesn't have the yellow thingie.

I wonder if it was actually meant for light themes:

[-] Draconic_NEO@lemmy.dbzer0.com 2 points 10 months ago

Yeah it's unfortunate, but it isn't and unfortunately won't be the first time it's been abandoned, since it was a fork of a different client called Lemmur which is what the splash screen is from. I think part of the reason is that Flutter apps are just really hard to maintain, combined with the fact that the Dev has stated he doesn't understand Auth very well (likely was using the Auth code from the old version).

[-] LinkOpensChest_wav@lemmy.dbzer0.com 2 points 10 months ago* (last edited 10 months ago)

~~I'm using Jerboa, and it too behaves weirdly with the upgrade, but clearing my cache and signing in again seems to have fixed it.~~

~~Even using a browser on desktop behaved oddly at first, but it seems to be sorting itself out the more I use it. (Can't really explain why that would be.)~~

Edit: Ignore this comment. I'm suddenly unable to sign into Jerboa again.

[-] otter@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 points 10 months ago

It's still erroring out for me...

[-] db0@lemmy.dbzer0.com 3 points 10 months ago

They probably never updated their Auth code

[-] TheGreenGolem@lemmy.dbzer0.com 3 points 10 months ago

It works for me now

[-] AnActOfCreation@lemmy.dbzer0.com 4 points 10 months ago

Thanks! Works great in Thunder!

[-] Solemn@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 points 10 months ago

Anyone else having trouble with not showing read posts? I'm on Boost, and thought that logging out and logging in fixed it, but that doesn't seem to be the case.

[-] moitoi@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 points 10 months ago

Thanks for the update!
