My Christmas overindulgence has caught up with me. I'm home from work with an upset stomach after a night of almost no sleep.

When I did get to sleep I had unpleasant dreams. First the cleaner from work was vacuuming around my bed so I couldn't sleep. Then there were lots of people everywhere talking really loudly. When I decided to call in sick (in my dream) I had trouble finding anywhere quiet enough to make a phone call. Then I realised the sun was rising and I was already late. Then I couldn't find the app on my phone to make a phone call, and when I eventually did it wouldn't dial.

I think this means I am boring - nightmares used to involve things like time bombs and crocodiles. Vacuum cleaners and phoning work really don't have the same dramatic impact.

Or it could be the first few scenes of a blockbuster dream spanning multiple nights of sleep à la the opening of The Matrix.

That sounds exhausting. Hopefully if this is the case the vacuum cleaner won't be a recurring element, that thing's really annoying.

Post holiday detox is going pretty good, body starting to feel a bit normal again.

I'm also kind of loving all this rain, as it prevents my neighbour from mowing and watering his lawn. He must be raging right now.

Whenever I watch true stories there's so many emotions going on inside me. I'm watching Dr Death series 2. It's in the name of how grim this is but my god It's fascinating, disturbing, sad. So many oh no moments.

Starting tomorrow I have the house to myself for a week, so obviously I've been shopping for the essentials; booze, and a variety of chips and dips. I also purchased a nice steak since my cohabitant hates the smell of it cooking.

Been getting a bit sore after running recently so went to a myotherapy session this evening. He needled my calves. Sore now from the needling.

It might be 73% humidity but I'd much, much rather be in Melbourne right now than in Brisbane which is at 43% humidity... and 28C (feels like 33C). Fuck that noise
