You had to wonder if this was one of the reasons they chose to very quickly elect an American pope with ties to South America and Europe.

"Means has no government experience and dropped out of the surgical program after she became disillusioned with traditional medicine."

She also makes money from dietary supplements, creams, teas and other products sponsored on her social media accounts, where she has built an online following by criticizing medical establishments and promoting natural foods and lifestyle changes to reverse diabetes, obesity and other chronic diseases.

Means and her brother, former lobbyist Calley Means, served as key advisers to Robert F. Kennedy’s longshot 2024 presidential bid and helped broker his endorsement of Trump last summer.

Seems at odds with the Surgeon General's role as "the nation's doctor."

“This is honestly insane,” she wrote in one post Thursday morning. “I do not believe for one second that Donald Trump made this decision. I refuse to believe it.

We now officially live in a world where Laura Fucking Loomer is a voice of reason.

There are $450 million reasons Trump is doing this ...

I'm sure the new pope is honored to have CitiesByDiana congratulating him.

Conclvave sounds like something you see a doctor about after a week locked in a room with hookers and blow.

Somebody needs to start a "It has been X days since failure by the Republicans to adhere to Supreme and Federal Court orders was met with no consequences."

To produce their analysis, the researchers fed wealth-based greenhouse gas emissions inequality assessments into climate modelling frameworks, allowing them to systematically attribute the changes in global temperatures and the frequency of extreme weather events that have taken place between 1990 and 2019.

I do take studies like this with a grain of salt. I don't know this organization, but they certainly have a point of view, and it certainly is reasonable to think they could have run those computer simulations to say what they wanted it to say.

Now with that said, I'd wager many of the folks in this thread are included in that 10%. The top 10% of the world makes like $50,000 a year. "Rich" is subjective and varies from country to country, region to region. Hell it can vary widely just in the US. And even in a single state (look at average wages for somebody in the NYC area versus Syracuse).

Wasn't expecting to see that.

Yup - same here. Thought it was going to be something like "went from 60% to 56%"

The 2024 election saw Trump win 63 percent of rural voters, up from 60 percent in 2020, according to AP VoteCast.

According to the poll, just 46 percent of rural voters now approve of Trump's job performance, while 45 percent disapprove. In February, 59 percent approved and 37 percent disapproved.

That's a pretty significant drop in a little more than a month.

Glad to see some red folks are finally starting to open their eyes.

I really wish some of these reporters would dig in and challenge him. I get that its uncomfortable, but that's your job.

His questions should have been:

  • Do you think he has MS13, marijuana, smile, cross, skull tattooed on his hands? And not added with Photoshop later?
  • Are you saying this combination of tattoos is a code to identify him as a member of MS13? Because gang experts have cast doubt on this interpretation.
  • How many other MS13 members have this exact combination of tattoos on his hand? If its a sign of being a member of the gang, others should have it as well.
  • Do you think a vague and symbolic tattoo is proof of belonging to criminal organization?
  • Does this make your Secretary of Defense a white supremacist? Because he has numerous tattoos associated with that ideology.
  • Do you have any real proof Abrego Garcia is a member of MS-13? And if so why did your administration appeal his protected status in 2019?

A majority of Americans say President Trump is a "dangerous dictator" who poses a threat to democracy and believe he's overstepped his authority by actions such as the mass firing of federal employees, a new survey says.

The wide-ranging poll released Tuesday, on Trump's 100th day in office, is the latest sign of him losing support for his immigration and economic policies — the two issues that largely fueled his election.

In the past two days alone, I've gotten over 20 spam calls with none of them leaving a message. Just 3/4 seconds of silence on my voice mail. One call the other day left a 22 second blank message.
