Context: The federal government just decided that it will only fly the pride flag on May 17th, but will stop doing that during pride month. Unlike in previous years, this is also the old version of the rainbow flag, not the progress flag that includes the chevron representing trans people and queers of color, and given how hard the CDU / CSU is leaning into the transphobia recently, this does not seem like a coincidence.
