that's very good to hear, I'll probably try out silverblue with distrobox and that'll be my end of distrohopping

[-] Ajzak@lemm.ee 5 points 1 week ago

could you perhaps run them with Distrobox? i was always wondering that.

i am obligated to say that the publishers screwed over the devs for that game, so if possible you're better off getting a cd key than supporting those thieves

but convenience is convenience

I need a step by step guide on how you did this good sir.

Here's an alternative that's about 50% less expensive and not a subscription. Personally use it on KISS launcher and it's basically perfect for my uses

I'll definitely have to figure out a way to make annoying notifications that will pop every five minutes until i actually scan the tag that stops them, it'll probably skyrocket my productivity lol, how'd you set it up?

[-] Ajzak@lemm.ee 2 points 2 months ago

Figuring out how to tie my tags to Tasker will probably make a world of difference once i finally get around to learning the damn program lol

But i do believe tying tags to work with appliances is their strongest suit!

Oh yeah i did a similar thing to my father where i took all his favorite records and put them on a tag which leads to a youtube playlist of the record. Definitely convenient since the record player broke many years ago.

Hi there, i recently got 50 NFC tags and these things are amazing for making shortcuts and the like, so i need any ideas and uses you guys already have for these!

I currently use one for my Bluetooth headphones to connect, one on my work phone for call forwarding, one for my battery charger to set an alarm and one on my washing machine to set a timer for when it's done.

Any ideas are appreciated!

I'm a fan of KISS launcher coupled together with Wallpaper engine. It's damn simple and it's only a swipe up to use the keyboard. Not to mention you can directly type in links, contacts, w/e and it just opens them! Highly recommended.

So I've been using my steam deck as a laptop replacement as I'm on uni and I don't really need that much processing power on me.

If you have a good dock, some accessories and a lot of patience, it can fit the bill.

I've switched my system over to Bazzite, which is amazing because it's more up to date, and makes using the deck as a desktop very enjoyable, but it is running on the latest beta so any bugs that are on steamos 3.5 will persist here. However unfortunately it doesn't support HDR at the moment.

Even without bazzite you can easily use it as a desktop, but you do have to be aware that it isn't as strong as some laptops nowadays. (of course you could always remote connect to a desktop and do stuff there but yknow).
