Right, i have a hisense fridge i bought 12 years ago after my second hand fridge broke, destroying all my food. I had saved up enough money to go away for the weekend but got home from work to the broken one. Had cancel my trip and use the money to buy the fridge thinking it won't last long.

That fridge now sits outside with drinks in it and its never missed a beat.

I also have a deep freezer of theirs I've had for 8 years with no issues apart from having to replace the door seal.

My original account got locked out when I wouldn't provide an email to Reddit to verify after years of use.

Yeah it's good but it kills families etc but people who make it work are well off, or you do a few years and set yourself up.

In Australia you can make a great living from it if you can handle the sacrifices you make.

Away from home for 3 to 4 weeks at a time 12 hour shifts with half hour travel each way to and from camp ontop.

Most places you do your own laundry but meals are provided.

Most of the jobs are also in the hottest most remote parts of Australia too where temperatures routinely reach the high 40s.

But you do that and can earn over 200k a year with just an apprenticeship behind you

Yeah almost anything a youtuber sells i tend to avoid.

I did buy a survival book though but I feel artwork books are different to subscription services etc

It's not bad, rough on the body though. It's pretty clean in comparison to mine site work in the dirt though

Right its crazy.

We have diesel for Aud$2.42 a litre where I am.

A week ago it was $1.84

I repair the machines that unload boats at the port, some of those hold 12000 litres of diesel and use 3/4 of it unloading a container ship.

Just that volume alone will effect the cost of shit

You see, he knows he's a bad guy so to make his dream of a global war against bad guys, they're going to pick a fight with everyone so everyone is at war with them

I used saily when I went to PNG for work it wasn't working where I was so I contacted them, they said oh it doesn't work where I am.

Despite the website clearly stating it does. So fuck saily

I'm having a baby any day and used to go to the pub to watch the footy with my mates.

Now moving forward I figure I can have mates over here to watch

Friday morning via Facebook thanks to my wife and the communities on there that are set up to find stolen cars we found my vehicle.

It was 240kms away crashed on the side of the road.

Unfortunately all of my tools were stolen they opened the boxes and removed tools draws and all.

They stole all of my consumables too.

Insurance is still assessing the car and my business insurance said the missing tools are car insurance problem because it's parked in a residential premises and are my personal property.

Car insurance will cover 1500 dollars or tools. Unfortunately I had around 50k of tools etc in my ute.

This weekend I spent 10k on tools and am obviously still far behind.

I have hired a ute and bought tools so I'm back to work now since I have no other options really, I need an income to support my wife while she has no job since she's on maternity leave.

I'm really only writing this to put some thoughts out, I think I'm having a rough time but it's just life. One for before the other and keep going you know.

I'm going to put up some photos of the car and perpetrator in the comments just so they're out there too.

G'day guys, not really a dull story unfortunately but I just wanted somewhere to vent my thoughts about the nights events.

I work for myself have for about 18 months, started my own heavy mobile mechanic company business has been good always busy etc.

My wife just lost her job due to being 9 months pregnant and they made her position redundant. So we are relying on my sole income from working for myself.

Stressful yeah but manageable.

Unfortunately that all brings us to tonight,

At about 0100 I hear my car start up and crash through my front fence and off it went.

All my work tools all my licenses access cards to places and my work laptop.

I was fully packed to go do a service in the morning leaving at 0500 so I prepared everything in the car in advance so I just had to get up shower and go.

Now I'm sitting here at home waiting to call insurance and see what little they will do for me regarding the vehicle and tooling.

My wife super stressed since being about to give birth any time now and no prospects for an income for either of us unless I go win the lotto and buy a new car and tools.

The car isn't really a problem though, I mean it is but it's the tools that I'll miss the most. I can't even go get a job working for someone else again without having tools to do my job. Really is a shit situation Unfortunately.

Anyway happy new year guys I hope everyone else's year starts off better then mine so far

Whole wiring harness burnt out, they said they had looked at it and there was nothing wrong.
