It's crazy that most (if not all) of these were written in assembly.

For context, this is the equivalent of turning sugar cane, milk and wheat into a cake as opposed to buying one at the store (i.e. python).

Shaka, when the walls fell.

Agreed. This kinda looks like rage-bait anyhow. OP's argument is pretty sloppy, too.

A: Some far-right activists and conspiracy theories are advocating against card-payments and for cash
B: discrediting valid concerns against card-payments.

It'd be a pretty tough argument, but B doesn't follow from A directly and would need some heavy lifting in between. Also, OP's post is most def "culture-wars-y."

Hey bub, this isn't right. Not a big fan of the red team in the US either, but shit on them where they deserve it.
ISPs to snoop for drugs with bipartisan support.

We're all closer to being homeless than billionaires.

This, y'all. One of the things I think a lot of younger travelers fail to realize is that the US is not a meme. It's huge and full of people with thoughts, hopes, regrets etc. just like everyone else.

Maybe there are better places to live or visit, but the US is pretty easy and most folks I've met are genuinely nice when they realize you might need help.

Edit: try to avoid police and if you encounter them play that foreign visitor thing up or make your English really bad. A lot of them are former soldiers that served in the middle east. They default to a pretty aggressive demeanor because that's what we did to them. Your safety won't be a concern, but they can waste lot of your time.

The advice here is good, but it may be a little too safe.

If you want an adventure, use an atlas and truck stops like Loves or Pilot for snacks, a nap or shower. These places are rad, super safe and clean (the stigma is bullshit). It can be a little more expensive and take a little longer, but there are a LOT of great and interesting people in the US and it's pretty much the safest it's been since the sixties.

Also, I recommend favoring AM or FM radio (in that order) to hear some wild stuff out in the boonies.

Edit: Make sure your car's lights are all working so the cops don't waste your time. The US may be safer than it has been, but the cops sure ain't.

I'll bet a buffalo nickel that this is so Musk can guarantee eyeballs on ads.

Arg: expected eyeballs on ads not 100% because blocking. This shiny new 'X' will guarantee 100%.

Tinfoil: If he can disrupt B2B on ads and seize more marketing market share, he looks like a genius and gets to add a payment feature to X. I don't think he's very creative and will just remake PayPal with a fuckton of extra steps.

What is happening with reddit is so sad. The users made that platform what it is and were never compensated by reddit. Meanwhile, reddit is pissed off that tech like chatGPT used it to train models and not compensate reddit. If that ain't the pot calling the kettle black. The indifference/ignorance is staggering.

This is so fucking great. I don't care if it's spammed everywhere or old news. Parkinson's jails people in their own bodies and it's great to see someone break out.

This article is so slimy. Sustainable here really means in relation to the fiduciary responsibility to the board. To use another C-suite term, the sustainable pay rise is often immaterial.
