I’m sorry but I think this take is ridiculous. Producing art is labor, and every laborer should be entitled to a living. That idea gets scoffed at a lot, but art has the potential to be an incredible expression of human experience. I’d argue that authors and songwriters are in the same boat, using a form of expression to appeal to other people. Obviously if your art sucks people wont want it, you are mostly at the whims of your audience if you are lucky enough to have one.

Porn is not inherently fascist, though. The way that pornography exists as an industry in our current time is exploitative and fascist, because we live in a fascist/capitalist society.

Im of the belief that pornography for the purpose of sexual gratification has basically always existed in some form or another. Fascist country creates fascist porn.

Im going to sound like a massive rube here probably but i’ve enjoyed The Last of Us, both the two games and two seasons of TV. I dont really buy that the game is some sort of Israeli propaganda piece, just based off the evidence of Neil Druckman being Israeli and saying that the story was inspired by the experience of seeing a lynching as a teen. I appreciate the games for their satisfying gameplay, and i think that the combined story they tell is interesting and emotionally complex.

Before you scoff at that last line, I may also be biased towards liking the series, on account of how GamerGate-esque the reception to the second game was. Just the absolute worst youtube personalities going on about how the franchise is ruined, what happened to my wholesome Foster Father SimulatorTM, Abby has muscles while also being a woman (egads!), etc… Usually when chuds cry about a piece of media, I have an inclination to check it out, and I’ve enjoyed what i got to experience out of that this time.

A lot of the perception of ‘social credit’ is very muddied and unspecific. If I’m being completely honest, I see it as a relative nonissue for China to have a scan of my face (which really is available to anyone and anything so long as there exists even a single picture of you online)

Like, exactly what is China going to do with it? For those who live in America, the American Gov’t will be the ones attempting to surveil and control you. China doesn’t exactly pose a threat to me as a person lol.

I disagree that Skyler White is made out to be a negative character, but she certainly was perceived as so by fans of the show

I think you may be assuming bad faith here when that’s not completely applicable. This thread isn’t about Covid so why would that commenter bring it up? Considering that you’re basically accusing this person who you know next-to-nothing about of being a Covid spreader, I think you should take a step back and disengage.

The man literally has an intro line where he says he hates rich people. Marshall Law stays winning

Since a few months ago, the sorting algorithms have been very sketchy on mobile. selecting anything other than ‘active’ makes it glitch out and continue sorting by active. ive been using the next.hexbear site to get past this, but now it seems to be down as well.

It’s gotta be the bascinet, specifically the pig faced bascinet. Medieval hog out or log out

One of their kids makes a living by misleading the public, and the other one is a magician brow

I still love it. It’s phrased like the iceberg is having some really deep thoughts about existence

Using waste products in the production of animal feed is actually pretty standard practice. For example, urea is a waste product found in urine that is routinely added to cattle feed to help with ruminant digestion.

On its face it can seem very strange though, so there is that.
