It could in no way change how we live or why. It we had the power we would totally make little simulated universes. It won't take too much more before we create video games where the characters shave a reasonable experience of reality. In our own world as we know it that would make the odds of anyone who thinks they are alive simulated. It is completely meaningless but the math checks out.
