Robert Jordan took a long time finishing his Wheel of Time series- he actually died and Brandon Sanderson had to write the last three books

GRRM is still writing his series.

My point is that they would say that time proposed is not enough because they take a long time to write.

Additional context:

Robert Jordan's first book for the Wheel of Time series, The Eye of the World, was published in 1990. His last book, A Memory of Light, was published in 2013. He died in 2007 and a lot of fans, me included, thought the series was also dead but Jordan's wife brought on Sanderson to finish it. And he did such a great job writing in Jordan's style that some think he did Jordan better than Jordan did.

GRRM wrote A Game of Thrones which was published in 1996 which is the first book of A Song of Ice and Fire. His latest book in the series, A Dance with Dragons, was published in 2011 and only book five of seven proposed books for the series. Three series was originally going to be a trilogy so we'll see if it ends at seven. The Wheel of Time series was also supposed to be a trilogy when Jordan started it.

The Internet Archive reached too far with the lending aspect. While the goal of sharing is laudable, no one was really surprised by this decision. 🏴‍☠️🦜

I was reading your wall of text chomping at the bit to complain about IRQs and dip switches but you covered even that!

Oh wait, you didn't include having a math coprocessor daughter boards! I barely remember them but remember my dad building computers with them.

I kinda wish I was a teen when the first computer kits were coming out. And phone phreaking.

The Democrats aren't going to "save you". They like having the Boogeyman of Trump or to get you to vote in "the most important election in our lifetime".

Don't get me wrong, Trump and the Republicans will do more damage socially, but the Democrats couldn't/didn't/won't stop that even when they control(ed) the White House, House of Representative, and the Senate.

Your dichotomy of saying we have to pick between the Turd or a Douche is disingenuous.

This meme format gives me the creeps. Feels like it has an underlying theme to it now.

I was in a thread with a bunch of comments removed by moderator. Someone said that it is possible on the web interface to see the modlogs. Is there a way to do that through Boost? Or maybe have a link that opens in a web browser?

Not a hugely important feature just curious. Thanks!

At the bottom on the screen when viewing in a browser you can click the modlog and search for the users name.

But be careful, usually nothing good is in these modlogs 😐

I'm re-watching the series for the umpteenth time and this has bothered me for years. I can forgive all the other issues with flying the raider: plugging hole with jacket, successfully out-flying Lee in a damaged and new to her spacecraft, raiders body parts still working after the brain is dead, getting the lettering on the bottom of the raider, etc. But I can't figure out how Starbuck was seeing to pilot the raider. Was this ever addressed and I just missed it? I assumed in the later episodes that she installed a view screen.

So, how could she see where she was flying?

Paizo Staff post on the top selling licensed "Infinite" products for August 2023.

What is Pathfinder and Starfinder Infinite?

Pathfinder and Starfinder Infinite is a program that allows you to create content (adventures and locations; monsters; character classes, archetypes, and backgrounds; fiction; etc.) based on Paizo’s intellectual property (IP), including Pathfinder’s Lost Omens campaign setting, and to make some money while you’re at it. Your work might even be recognized by the community and earn you an invitation into the Infinite Masters elite creator program.

Classy Dragons and Kitsune of Golarion are on my short list for purchase. Starfinder - Planar Powers looks cool too but I will wait for Starfinder 2e before I get anymore Starfinder products.

Design Manager for the Pathfinder Rules & Lore team Michael Sayre posts about the upcoming Pathfinder War of Immortals (which he lead on) and the classes Animist and Exemplar (the first Rare class). He also discusses an apparition and a spell that will more than likely be left out of the book but deserves an honorable mention.

Hopefully I got the link working in this post. :D
