Just shitty 4chan slang.

Primary usage I've seen for it is sPoOpY sKeLeToNs.

I was about to RAGE.

Then I saw the publisher. Good one guys.

DF scales threats on wealth.

Yes, that is a thing in RW, but wasn't the thing I was referring to.

Eventually you will start seeing high tech weapons (don't think you can build them yourself?), and so on the melee side, that's the likes of the Zeushammer, monosword, and plasmasword. I think plasmaswords are the strongest for raw damage, but they also set the target on fire like 50% of the time.

If that happens in the middle of the enclosed portions of your base, you can see why that'd be a problem. Also shows why fire poppers are important.

Very nice writeup. Don't have the time to fully read, but did a quick skim. Def saved for later reference though.

You sound like you might have the latest news on the 30% tax credit. Do you know how much longer that'll be a thing/what you'd need to do now to get it?

This is good info and makes sense. Thanks!

So I've heard a typical set up is still dependent on grid power (typical set up => able to push power back to the grid), and so during a power outage, you still lose power at your home. Its my understanding one of the components required for the hook up to The Grid requires continuous power (in case you need to push/pull power from the grid) and since it can't guarantee power from your panels, it gets that power from the grid (thus grid goes down, your whole home's power goes down.

Don't suppose you know more about this or can explain why this is/isn't the case? This setup seems unintuitive and undesirable to me, and so I'd love to have proof that's not the case, if it exists.

Trying to find the original response video, but can only find clipped or commented over versions.

Can anyone point me to the original video?

Gotta watch for insects under the mountain. There's some ways to cheese this, but I personally like the semi real risk it brings. I do advise avoiding plasma swords for your guys. Its too easy to start fires by accident, and in a large mountain base, a bad fire is death.

Other guy gave an okey explanation, but to try my hand at explaining:

On a typical round of combat, you get three actions. You can spend them in a variety of ways. An attack is one action, movement ("stride" action) is one action, most offensive spells are 2 actions, etc.

A lot of classes get ways to "discount" actions. For example an early feat fighters and barbarians can take is "Sudden Charge" which let's them stride twice and attack an adjacent creature and costs 2 actions.

The whole thing lends so much freedom and takes a lot of burden off the DM for needing to homebrew / make up things on the fly. The whole system is very crunchy though (very detailed and particular on its rules) and so doesn't fit everyone's vibes.

The real scathing insult was just "uninstall"

[–] DahGangalang@infosec.pub 1 points 3 days ago* (last edited 3 days ago)

Can you explain how/why its the same?

My instinct says its actually trying to reach 127.1.0.0 (which is still local host), but that's an educated guess at best.

Edit: Question was answered later on thread

I literally can't believe it took us 50 years of ttrgs existing in basically their modern form for us to find the 3 action system. Its so intuitive and liberating compared to every other game system I've experienced.

So recently had a hankering for some Pokémon hacks so booted up my old Pokémon Storm Silver ROM (using retroarch with Desmume as emulator).

I spun up a new game and played a bit, but it wouldn't let me save a new game since the ROM had my old save data. I decided to just save the game state with the built in retro arch save state functionality. So beat the champion using save states as alternative save feature with 60 hours on game clock (probably MUCH less due to my abuse of ffw feature).

But when you beat the champion, it dumps you back to the title screen. From there, I can only load my old data (since my current play isn't properly saved in the game data). As such, I can't play any of the post elite four content.

Anyone aware of a workaround where I can erase the games data from a save state? Kinda feels like I'm just SOL.

If I am, let this stand as a warning to other Pokémon fans. Always take the time to clear your old data!

Just recently took the leap to Graphene OS from stock android.

One problem I'm having is getting my apps and keeping them updated. Obviously I've been trying to use F-Droid, Accrescent, and the Grapheme provided app store where I can, but work and friends require me to have apps not available there.

I've been using Aurora Store for everything else, but it seems really buggy (tons of instances where apps won't update, will need ~3 tries to properly install, will notify me there was an error when the app clearly installed, etc). Additionally, I saw somewhere that Aurora store has some privacy/security issues (but didn't dive deeper to see what was meant by that).

I've read Obtanium is another option, but it looks like that still will not meet all my needs.

I suppose I should also say that I'm hesitant to use the Play Store / Play Services at all. I get there's sandboxing around them that makes them less invasive, but I don't full grasp how Graphene accomplishes that / what specifically it prevents.

What are you guys using for your App Stores? Should I just put aside my concerns and trust the sandboxed Play Store?

Appreciate your attention and consideration on this!

I'm a tech interested guy. I've touched SQL once or twice, but wasn't able to really make sense of it. That combined with not having a practical use leaves SQL as largely a black box in my mind (though I am somewhat familiar with technical concepts in databasing).

With that, I keep seeing [pic related] as proof that Elon Musk doesn't understand SQL.

Can someone give me a technical explanation for how one would come to that conclusion? I'd love if you could pass technical documentation for that.

I've heard Reddit is setting themselves up for another major fumble and that it relates to how much Spez is a fanboy of Elon Musk.

I can't find any details on the drama playing out though. Can someone explain the details of what's going on?

I would love to see Lemmy grow with another big "Rexxit" event, but I'm not seeing anything happening to cause one.

Updated link on morning of Jan 30th.

Was feeling frisky and decided to attempt to get the Doom Slayer achievement (Defeat the final boss with all demon spawners alive and Badder Bosses challenge enabled).

Been attempting it for a week or so and rarely make it past the 1st boss (I've gotten too used to fighting normal bosses - these challenge bosses keep hanging me up).

Mis-fired a caustic potion at Yog while one of the fists was still up. If I hadn't wasted that potion, I'm pretty sure I would've won this fight.

First time actually making it to the final boss fight with Badder Bosses on, so I feel really accomplished to have made it this close.

Edit:

A week and half a dozen tries later, finally made it!
And with TWO challenges on (ran with Swarm Intelligence on as well).
(Please ignore how much of a one trick pony I am)
