that explains it then, sorry for the misunderstanding!

Interesting study that touches on the emerging concept of electoral autocracy with the case of Russia

I did a degree that was “social data science” and we were part both of the computer science and the social science department, so to me it isn’t shocking a study like this might be attributed to the computer science department.

Honestly transferring out of the US to a free university in europe is probably the best way lol.

You don’t have to? I’ve never given axios my email. In fact I’ve never seen an email popup on axios, though I do have a content blocker.

(article is 2 months old but interesting and not a timely one)

Yeah, they are having a redo in a couple months.

Note that the election cancelled was just a first round, so the results were who makes it to next round and not who actually gets elected.

That’s what it feels like to me.

It’s something like “Live as if you weren’t disabled because you making your disability visible bothers me. And if you’re unable to do that, well either stay in an institution where you belong or if you can’t afford that you should just die”

Me in my wheelchair 👁️👄👁️

We need to start holding companies accountable when their actions lead to someone’s suicide.

I’d slap him. I don’t fucking care, I’m dying from societal neglect and welfare failings and like literally 0.00001% of his wealth could fix all my problems, you have to be inherently selfish to hoard all that wealth (not to mention be inherently evil to get it in the first place).

(this is a joke, I wouldn’t put it past Musk for suing for verbal assault or something)

In the case of being too disabled to apply yourself, yes.

That sums up the current system except instead of “knowing he was honest” after death, they would blame the death on “mental health issues” or whatever it takes to ignore the systemic issue that led to it.

Tankies entire world view is formed around hating the US.

They will glorify terrible regimes that literally commit genocides and straight up murder thousands of innocents just because that regime is in opposition to US influence.

They use left wing language, but they do not care about leftist issues. They do not care about disabled people getting focibly euthanised, about anyone who dares critique the regime being forcibly silenced, about minorities being genocided (unless the US or NATO does it), that their “socialist states” literally have billionaires while others starve. They think it’s all US propaganda. (Alternatively, they’ll admit part of it and say it’s for the greater good).

I hate how “anti-war” has been hijacked by these people to mean, let imperialist countries invade whoever they want with no consequences. (in the case of tankies, any imperialist country that isn’t in NATO).
