Because it's a pile of fucking shit.

Who wants to spend over 3k on a headset you can't even game with? Let alone has hardly any app support on launch.

Maybe stop releasing a new fucking game every god damn year

[-] Graphine@lemmy.world 32 points 7 months ago

Honestly I do understand why PC gamers are upset. But this isn’t exactly news. They’ve done this with every PC port. And given the clusterfuck that was GTA IV on PC I’m fine waiting another year for a GOOD PC port.

Again I get it. But I personally bought a Series X when PC gaming was too expensive to get into so I take it that’s who they’re gonna go for as well.

The retards in the comments are giving me cancer.

Did we watch the same trailer? This looks fucking amazing. None of this is actual gameplay footage, and about two scenes actually look like cutscenes. but it’s all been rendered IN ENGINE. Just like every other fucking Rockstar trailer to ever exist. This looks freaking insane.

People are shitting on the 2025 release date like…..bruh. RDR2 took 8 years to develop. Rumors say this has been in development since 2019 or so, right after the release of RDR2. So 6-7 years which makes perfect sense. I’m not happy about the nearly two year wait but it fits with the development timeline.

Jesus christ I hope Rockstar parodies all of your asses to show how fucking negative the internet has become.

At first I was confused and thought I was on a porn sub, then I was confused as to why this was a shitpost, then I looked closer at her physique and I wanted to gouge my eyes out.

What is wrong with people?

Next up on the list of bringing over shitty Reddit concepts:

Telling every single person to break up who needs relationship advice.

I swear it feels like for a lot of the things I do on Linux there's a GUI app for it, but then if I wanna do something as basic as adjust my fan speed I gotta use the freaking terminal.

Like it's always at the worst possible time.

Edit: I’ve installed a distro on my gaming PC that I really liked, used it on my laptop. Sensors and fans were fully supported. Did not work at all on my PC so I told it to fuck off. It’s just too much of a pain to set up.

Test reply to a test post.

All systems nominal.

I sampled the TLW Tape Loop (on.soundcloud.com)

To be honest I had no intention of doing so....I was working on a track and was about 95% finished with it when it hit me that the tape loop might actually fit well with this....to my surprise, it actually fit like a fucking glove. At least I thought so.

Honestly, with Apple making it incredibly fucking hard to take out their batteries with excessive amounts of glue, I'm okay with this.

One thing I've always wanted to do is grow my hair out down to my neck. I'm also aware that for people with thick hair, it requires a lot of patience. I personally have incredibly thick hair and many hair stylists have mentioned this to me.

The problem is, after about 6 months my hair will enter this "middle ground" stage where it looks incredibly poofy and hard to manage. Like, instead of growing DOWN, it just seems to try to grow up. At the same time, my hair growth also slows down. This creates insecurity and makes me just cut it off. I don't want to do that anymore.

I know it's possible for people to grow long hair. Even with thick hair. Is there anything I can do to promote downward hair growth, or anything I can do to manage it during this awkward phase? I'm not there yet, but I suspect I will be in another month or two. Thanks!

You mentioned convenience. A big part of that is absolutely having a mobile client. And with so many freaking clients being developed across iOS and Android for Lemmy, that is going to attract so many users. Imagine a Lemmy client as fleshed out as Apollo for iOS, or Boost for Android. When casual users notice this and Lemmy.world blows up, it's going to create a wave effect across the entire internet. I do have some hope because of this.

(Of course, Lemmy.world does have some stability issues but I have no doubt they'll be ironed out)

You're right, I apologize. This came from a place of frustration. I just don't understand how you could even reason with these people at this point if users are just gonna go back to the way things are and not give a shit.

The last thing I want is for Lemmy to turn toxic like Reddit did.

[-] Graphine@lemmy.world 33 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago)

See that's the thing. People keep saying that. But is that really what's happening? Because as I said, from a quick glance nothing has changed. There hasn't been a substantial drop in content, upvotes, comments. It looks EXACTLY the same as it did three days ago.

So, either the people that DID leave and took it seriously are a small minority, or the majority of Reddit is full of hypocritical liars. Right?

Sup guys, veteran Reddit user here. I deleted my account on the day of the blackout and I am not going back unless they change the API guidelines.

So far this place seems pretty awesome I gotta say. I love the federated concept now that I understand it. Really cool stuff!

Obligatory FUCK u/spez
